All I Want For Christmas Is?

As Christmas draws nearer and nearer (I swear, I just watched 4th of July fireworks like yesterday), something that I think is on everyone's mind is gifts. Now I'm into peace, love, good will to men, don't get me wrong. But for the holidays this year, I'm excited about 2 things: • The traffic is thinning out on my daily commute• I get to open gifts, and they will hopefully be things that I want Since I'm still relatively new to Houston, I wasn't dying to throw myself into pre-holiday traffic to spend hours pounding the pavement for the perfect gifts for friends and family. Instead, once December finally rolled around, I turned to the interweb *cue angel chorus*

With a few clicks, I was at the Amazon homepage, ready to begin my search for the perfect gifts. I  Of the first item I was looking for, Amazon had what seemed like hundreds of options. How ever was I to pick the right gift when there were 50 different versions?

Enter the customer rating system. At a social media boot camp seminar I attended last week, one of the things discussed was customer feedback.–your product is only as good as your customers say it is and if it's really bad, they'll be sure to tell everyone and their mama just how much it stinks. Luckily, Amazon make great use of this idea and allows customers to rate and review every item. After all since I was ready to drop some serious moolah on gifts, I wanted to ensure they were of good quality and not junk. After weeding out all the poorly rated and reviewed items, I was able to make quick work of my shopping list and get my loved ones gifts that they would love and that wouldn't fall apart as soon as they pulled back the wrapping paper.

So what gift are you craving this holiday season?

Below is a collage of gifts the Melaroo crew members are hoping to receive this holiday. Can you match the gift to the recipient?
