Well, everyone, it's official. After eight months of telling people we were looking for new digs, we've finally signed on to a bigger building and moved our operations!
It's been almost a year since we opened shop in a one-room office in the oldest office building in Hedwig Village. After taking over the whole west wing, ground floor at the beginning of the 2010, the old dear still couldn't contain us. Fortunately, a friend and associate Stephen King (no joke!) of King Insurance Services had gotten wind of a beautiful Class B over in the Energy Corridor where rates were favorable and management was highly recommended. After selecting a comfortable suite on the ground floor, we engaged the services of Mohle Design, a friend and new neighbor, in drawing up a site plan. As of today, we're putting the finishing touches on our lease contract and will be finalizing the buildout as quickly as possible. We'll miss our neighbors at On Hold Marketing Works, Erhardt Trading and Directory One, but are gratified that they survived the explosion and look forward to seeing them frequently.
A few of the features that our new space will offer include a separate video production studio upstairs on the ninth floor, and a large shared classroom where we'll be hosting social media classes and Gelato Fridays. The space itself will be much more workable as well, having separate offices for company administration and a collaborative bullpen area for production staff.
In the meantime, we've occupied a temporary suite right across the hall from our future home, and all share one big room, which inspires us to finalize the permanent lease quickly! We'll keep everyone posted on how the project goes. For the time being, please stop by and visit us in our sweat shop!
