Amy Dukes   -   Business Development

To say that Amy does not like this picture is an understatement. The Melacrew heartlessly ignored her pleas to retake this photo "because it shows the true Amy - happy and easy going." Amy is our Melaroo Matriarch but don’t tease her about it or she may give you a demonstration of her roundhouse kick. Yes, she can kickbox and has been known to moonlight as a Ninja Assassin.

Amy is in charge of Business Development at Melaroo, and truly does a stellar job of networking. In fact, the Six Degrees of Separation actually begins with Amy Dukes! She thrives on meeting new people and helping them understand that until their business has had the “Melaroo Touch,” they simply have not maximized their business potential! Seriously, who actually uses the Yellow Pages anymore?!?

Amy, a native Floridian, has lived in Texas since about the time we invaded Iraq. She has come a long way from being Kid Rock exclusive to enjoying a wide swath of country music, spending long weekends at her ranch in Bandera and becoming a regular at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. However, don’t ask this Hip Hopper to line dance!

Amy has an extensive background in print, radio and television advertising. Locally, she has worked with Lennar Homes, Village Builders and Friendswood Development Company. Prior to her move to Houston, she worked at an agency on Miami Beach coordinating the production of Newport News, a fashion catalog where (pay attention closely, gentlemen) she spent many long shoots with Heidi Klum and others. She began her career at Tinsley Advertising, way back in 1990 after graduating from the ‘U’ (University of Miami). At Tinsley Advertising, she worked with Paramount Pictures, MGM/UA, Buena Vista Pictures (The Walt Disney Company), Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures. In addition to handling their print advertising campaigns she actually got paid to go to movie premiers and send out cool promotional chachkies! She cavorted frequently with A-list movie stars before she realized how meaningless it all was...

Amy is still active with the Houston Alumni Association of The University of Miami. She is a Kappa Kappa Gamma and a Sigma Chi little sister. She is a member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and has been on the PTO at Barbara Bush Elementary for the past 5 years. She's probably about the nicest person you'll ever meet.
