Story
A video could be shot on an old-school VHS camcorder with peanut butter smeared on the lens, and if the story is interesting, people will watch it. Melaroo takes great pride in making everything we do interesting, humorous, or otherwise compelling to our audience. Because nobody likes to be bored and advertized to at the same time!
Production Value
In a time when everyone between high school and the nursing home is running around with an HD video camera in their pocket, the demand for good visuals and sound is higher than it's ever been. While yes, we shoot everything on HD cameras (1080p or higher), we also use rad lenses, high-quality condenser mics and sound recorders, appropriate lighting, and awesome rigging (crane, steadicam, etc.) to capture truly compelling pictures. 'Cause if it ain't awesome, we're not admitting we did it.
Appropriate technology
We're not going to use CG for CG's sake. But when the situation calls for it, we can do some pretty rad animation, in 2D and 3D.
